Coming in loud and clear:
Our digital signal processing
A motor vehicle is indisputably a special acoustic environment subject to major fluctuations. The chassis, engine, ventilation, storms, and the wind noise that increases at higher speeds represent a lot of sources of disruption stand-ing in the way of optimum audio clarity in the vehicle.
This is where single- or multi-channel digital signal processing from PEIKER acustic comes in to ensure that you and your customers enjoy excellent audio clarity even when driving:
- Acoustic echo cancellation (AEC); this enables a full duplex audio telephone connection even under heavy loudspeaker use.
- Reduction of stationary noises (noise reduction), such as those of the engine or ventilation, while the speaker (wanted signal) continues to sound natural.
- Beamforming, or multi-channel noise reduction, meaning the reduction of non-stationary noises (such as those of oncoming vehicles) by utilizing spatial information.
- Voice input coverage via multiple microphones placed independently of one another. This means that with appropriate microphone placement, the voices of speakers located anywhere in the vehicle (such as the driver, front-seat passenger, and back-seat passengers) can be captured with optimum acoustics.
- Automatic gain control (AGC) for the voice input signal received
- Digital wind protection, meaning reduction of gusts if it is only possible to install the microphones in positions that are heavily exposed to air flow (such as in convertibles).
Digital signal processing from PEIKER acustic is designed especially for hands-free car kits for the driver and front-seat passenger; it is the ideal initial step for these functions. We are also happy to adapt our software to your system. Let us show you how you can set new standards for communication in your vehicle.
