PEIKER acustic considers voice recognition to be a key technology in the future of the automobile industry. As such, we have established our own research center in Böblingen specializing in voice recognition and vehicle-bus connection.

Our current developments are extremely promising:

• User-independent control of hands-free car kits, radio and CD, navigation and address book with voice commands. Time-consuming training by the user is no longer needed.

• Set phrases for each function, which are based on the original use of the keys.
• Alternative commands are possible due to "key phrase spotting," the filtering out of key terms and the recognition of synonyms.
• "Grapheme to phoneme" conversion, abbreviated as G2P. Everything, which has a textual basis, can be queried by voice command.
• Expansion of voice recognition through small user-dependent voice templates and especially suited for the fast selection of radio stations or phone numbers.
• Easy access to the navigation system by means of the input of entire words, for example, 15,000 different cities can be queried for Germany alone, but duplicates such as Neustadt, which occurs 50 times in Germany, are only counted once.

The voice recognition developed by PEIKER acustic, again, clearly shows the advances that this new technology provides to the automobile industry. Since the driver requires less effort to operate complex multimedia and infotainment devices in the vehicle, this is an important contribution to traffic safety. Our goal is as few distractions as possible.
